TRAINING AND RESEARCH (407) VISA

This is a temporary visa that allows an individual to take part in workplace-based occupational training activities to enhance skills in current occupation, area of tertiary study or field of expertise; or to undertake a professional development training in Australia. The visa is valid for up to 2 years.

General Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Nominated by a temporary activities sponsor unless sponsored by the Government
  • Not a holder of 403, 771 or Special Purpose Visa
  • Meet the Genuine Temporary Entrant requirement
  • Adequate Health Insurance
  • Meet the Health requirement
  • Meet the Character requirement
  • English Language Ability – Functional
